I have a IP Office 500 v2 running 7.0 (23) software with embedded VM. This site has four copper lines installed. Incoming calls are working fine, but when I dial out there is a 10 second delay before calls goes out over the copper lines. No matter what I dial, local or long distance. I tried to hit a pound at the end of the number, but it still waits ten seconds before call leaves the system. I played around with the dial delay time but that didn't help no matter what I set the delay to. I also set up a 1xxxxxxxxxx entry in my ARS table. Nothing is helping. I pulled the lines of the system and made some test calls. No delay when calling across them. When I trace the calls in the IPO, I can see it waiting before grabbing the lines. Every time it is about 10 seconds. I have another system with a similar set up having the same problem. Any ideas?

What does Monitor say?

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

It doesn't show anything wrong. Just shows it connecting then call leaving the system. No waiting for line or anything. I am working on getting a monitor trace file right now. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this yet.

This isn't a bug. It is simply the way it works. Remember after you dial the number, even if you aren't subjected to the dial delay time the digits are outpulsed to the analog trunks one at a time (without you hearing them) before the audio path is connected. Analog cannot take digits en bloc like a PRI so it just takes longer to setup the call.
