The documentation says you can't have secure meet me conferencing without VM Pro which is correct (the way it is worded is misleading), but you can have just Conference meet me no problem as tlpeter said

This feature allows a user to join a specific conference.
For IP Office Release 6 and higher, IP500 and IP500 V2 systems require a Preferred Edition license.
So it could be that when you have the licence and use EVM the it will work. You could order a free licence for 60 days, it might keeps running after 60 days...
