Whenever 5402/10 is used (internal) for handsfree, a small whisper from the another end stops voice from the digital phone. Any solution ..?

5402 has no hands free, it has a speaker but the microphone of the handset is used.

you description is unclear so I ask
is that happening when you dial to another phone and try to have that go onto speaker right away?
if that is the case check in the User - telephony settings if "Deny Auto Intercom calls" is checked

or

is it when you are on a call and activate the speaker?
then I have no clue what that would be.

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

Thanks Westi..

When 5410 (with an MD of a company) dials his PA (with an analog phone) on handsfree, this happens.
To explain in detail : During the conversation, even a small noise (voice) near the mouth piece of an anolog phone breaks the communication (during that period, whatever is spoken on handsfree from the 5410 is not heard by the analog phone user)

That's because those handset are only half duplex i.e they cannot receive and transmit at the same time, so what you describe is normal :)

Thanks amriddle01... Any soluion to this..? :)

Get a conference phone or full duplex phones like the 96xx series but then you must be on the right software version.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Indeed, that's the way those phones are made so the only solution is to buy a full duplex phone :)

The 9508 is full duplex and the modern equivalent of the 5410 :)

yep the 5400s have outlived their times and the functionality.
But make sure that you run a release that can handle the newer phones because if you are on an old firmware release then you might not be able to use the 9500 series phones.

Thanks Guys..!!
We replaced 54xx with 14xx and the same problem persists..!! Any clue..?!

That is because the 14xx and the 16xx are half duplex too.

Yes, I said the 9508 as that's full duplex, 14xx aren't so I didn't recommend it :)
