4620SW will not stop booting

~G3si with CM2.
~New IP's assigned to everything last night.
~Old PoE switches replaced with Cisco 4506 PoE.
~New DHCP server in place using Option 43 (Infoblox?) No 176 available.

(1) 4620SW phone continues to boot through firmware load, then restart, then boot again, then restart. Others work OK.

Is there a way to interrupt this boot sequence?

Hit Star when it says DHCP * to program. Then hit # over and over until it says Enter Command. at this point hit Hold then spell out reset(73738)# and confirm. if that doesnt help try clear(25327)#

It never gets to that point. It loads the .bin file, then reboots, then loads the .bin, then reboots over and over and over. I can't break that cycle!

are you sure it's loading the .bin file?

if the phone is unable to download the .bin file that it is told to download in the 96xxupgrade.txt file, the phone will reboot and try again. i've seen this before.

It was loading the .bin file, took 10 seconds to do so, then booted, then reloaded.

Problem turned out to be switch related. Wish I could tell you exactly what it was on the switch, but I can't. If anything else comes up, I'll update this thread.

We were hoping that we could find a method for interrupting the cycling process and reset the phone back to factory default.
