412 loses config

I have a 412 (w/ 2 DS16 and an SO8 expansion module)R4.0.7. There is a dual PRI in slot B, an ATM4U in slot A, and both a VCM 24 and a 30. 49 IP/22 dig (54xx) sets.

5x it has lost it's config, losing all but it's IP address and name. Everything else is default values.

The BootP is not enabled in Manager.
The 412 has been replaced...VCM's in 2 days.

Other symptoms...
Periodic no audio on IP sets (digitals OK)
8hz clock source goes to Internal rather than slot B port 1 (where the Network is set...Fallback on port 2)

I have sent traces to 1st level of support but thought I'd see if anyone out there has had similar issues.

BootP needs to be enabled. If in U.S. set IP Compression mode needs to be G.927(a)

Also, In manager, veiw your Error Pane and make sure no error's are their.

Check you using the right manager for the firmware too. It sounds like a classic manager miss match

I have some errors (Incoming Call routes created for incoming group 0 for DID outpulse), the Manager is appropriate (6.0.7) for the 4.0.7 rev.

I would not recommend to use two different types of VCM in one system.
If the whole config is gone then i would suspect a memory error but you have replaced the unit you say so count that out.
Only a factory default command either through serial port or with manager can do this.

It looks clear
remove one of the vcm cards and try again

if the problem stays then try the other vcm and try again

But you also switched the vcm cards so they are alright
Do as intrigrant says and go for 2x24 or 2x30

I have an AVAYA escalation now. They are suggesting the same thing. Any thoughts on which to replace? I can go w/ 2x24 or 2x30. The 24's have better echo cxl, right?

Usage will not be a factor for the short term, so I don't need the 60 channels.
