First module works perfectly, 2nd module lights up but nothing showing on the buttons despite having buttons programmed on 49-60. Any suggestions?

I've rebooted the ipo 3 times and power cycled the phone multiple times.

and to add, I flipped the 2 bm12's, making the 2nd one the first one, and visa versa. The first one in line still works fine. So the BM12's are both fine.

thanks for the response, yes you do. Buttons programmed on 25-48 show up on the first bm12, buttons 49-60 are not showing up on the 2nd bm12.

Not enough power. You need an 1151c1 in there. Disconnect the second BM12 from the handset until you get one or you may find the buttons on the handset stop working due to power draw.

I'm clear but my fighter is down.

Thats what I was just researching as holdmusic just stated. disregard my previous statement

just found out when using an 9508 phone that a 1151d1 power supply must be used

Product Features

•Provides 24 additional buttons using two pages of 12 call appearances/features each
•Buttons can be used for additional lines for incoming calls, outgoing calls, and calling features
•The Avaya BM12 is compatible with the Avaya 9608, 9611G, and 9641G IP phones
•Also compatible with the Avaya 9508 digital phone (NOTE: When using with the 9508, an 1151D1 power supply is required)
•Can add up to three button modules per phone

NOTE: The Avaya 1151D1 is only for use in IP environments. For digital telephone installations requiring additional power for button modules (e.g. 9408 digital phone plus BM12 button module), the 1151B1 or 1151C1 should be used.

what I posted was from avaya stating that if using a 9508 phone with a bm12 expansion module that a 1151D1 power supply should be used as I posted earlier

new thing I just noticed, when the other screens dimmed from non use after awhile, the 2nd bm12 is still lit.

smokinjoe, where did you find your info? Because everything I have found says not to use the D with 9508

Yep if using a button module with a 9508 handset then you have to use an 1151D power brick.

BM12:
Add-on for 9508, 9608, 9611 and 9641 telephones. Provides 12 buttons assignable in 2 pages for 24 features. When used with a 9508, power must be supplied to the phone using an inline power module such as the 1151C or equivalent.

ok, the link is just going to the general page, my bad.

are you positive that from the 1st bm12 to the 2nd bm12 that you are connected correctly, I have read tons of issues with these in the past

oddly enough, it just started working, At the advice of a co-worker, I switch the connectors between the 2 and they both came up properly. Not sure why that would fix it, but it did.

Thanks all for your help.
