2.0 SOE upgrade to3.2

I need to upgrade an SOE running 2.0(17) to the latest 3.2 software. I have been told by tech support that this is just a straight through upgrade, there is no upgrade path. The problem I am having is that running 3.2(57) manager, I cant see the SOE, so cant upgrade it. Any help appreciated.

3.2 (57) will not see any thing lower than a 2.1 build.
Same for the newer 4.0 versions too. Version 4 has a 3.2 999 build for the SOE.

I just had a look at the bin files for 3.2 (current release) to see if the same is applicable. Just hold fire for a few mins.

By seeing the kit I take it you mean actually getting a conifig? I have never been in this situation but I am sure upgrade.wiz will still see the kit even though manager cannot.

Any way. Be back in a few mins with the other info.

Thanks for the reply. Neither upgrade.wiz or the manager can see the switch. I installed 2.1 which can see it fine, so the switch is OK.

No you are right. It wont see any thing lower than 2.1
Upgrade your unit to the 2.1 version you have, 3.2 Manager will then see the SOE. I know its a pain but I cannot see docs to suggest any preffered method.

Can I go straight to 2.1, or do I need an intermediary?

No, straight to 2.1 or if you wish to do tlpeters way. You can go straight to 3.2 however this is not as straight forward.

OK. I have tried going to 2.1 and got "unit has failed to upgrade" error message. Any ideas?

No firewall turned off
