I have a 1408, connected to an 8.1 system, The phone shows the error "Upgrade: File Access Error"
It looks to be trying to get 1400R40.bin.
The avaya ccu only have 1400R16, and a 1400R32
My own manager tool V11) has 1400R48 - i dont want to try pushing that to the SD card in case it is software that is too new for the phone (dont think will work either as phone seems very determined to get the R40 version).

Not sure why the phone is trying to look for R40 - i thought it just downloads whatever version software is in the avaya SD card? (filer server is set to SD card, i also have the file server / http server on the PBX as itself/ tried with 0.0.0.0)
any thoughts on how to resolve?
These digitals dont seem to have an instruction file to say how to upgrade like the 96xxsettings file.

Look in the manager folder on your PC for the R40.bin file and upload it to the SD card. That depends on what version you are running on your PC.

Hi Mike,
I dont have the R40 file, only R48 or older version in the 8.1 manager.
Should the phone not just get whatever version 1400Rxx.bin is o nthe SD card, or in the currently used manager tool?
any way i can get the R40 file without installing a load of manager tools to find it?

Thanks Mike. I saw that page already. Wasn't the same name. I assume I just rename it to be 1400R40.bin ?
