Have hplj3015 all-in-one shared from an XP machine, trying to setup and use from server 2008. HP website says driver good for sever 2008, but when I go to install, it says the driver isn't found in the folder extracted from the download.
Anybody figure this out yet? Tried searching the forum...
I have Project Server 2003 installed on Windows 2003.
From an XP client I can't connect to the server using Project Pro 2003. I get the ' Project Server has returned an unexpected respose ' follwed by 'you are not authorised to view this page. Tou do not have permissions to view this directory...
Hi, mkrausnick. Thanks for your reply. I found that it is the website. It chokes on the use of symbols, such as "&" in the search criteria. What was confusing was that with the ampersand in there, it performs the search ok, but then breaks down a couple of pages later. I assume they are...
After clearing cache on machines that seemed to have no problem, they now see the HTML code that shouldn't be showing, so it looks to be a problem with the website, rather than the client.
I'm still open to any ideas or tests to help pin-point the problem.
Thanks
Something to try, if you haven't already...
In Add/Remove, go to Set Program Access and Defaults. In the media player section, remove the check mark for use current and then go to the web and click a media file. Maybe it will ask you what app you want to use and save the setting for the...
Hi, all. Any ideas or suggestions welcome!
I have a machine (XP Media Center), running Netscape 8.04 and IE6. This is a common configuration in our environment. The webpage in quesiton is also commonly visitied by several other employees with no issues, and the machine in question doesn't...
Thanks for the reply, mrdenny. Ok on listening on all ip's.
As for the reporting of the network cable being unplugged, it only happens when the service has been running for about 10 minutes. Without this app/service running, I have never has this problem and if I stop the service and reboot...
Hi, all. Thanks, in advance, for any pointers...
I have been tasked with installing MSDE on a Windows 2000 Server SP4, running IIS 5 and hosting multiple websites(multiple ip's). I don't have a clue how to configure the service to only listen on one IP yet, but have another problem right off...
Thanks, tf1 :-) I already found a remedy before seeing your post. It wasn't just one machine, but I did have a couple of machines that had no trouble converting the files, so I copied the files from:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv
to the same folder on my pc (saving...
Hey! I figured out the recover text thing and it worked (losing all formatting), but other machines will just open the .wps file in Word, no problem. I wonder what I'm missing????
Thanks :-)
I don't get that option. I obtained another .wps file to see if it would give me the same error and it did, so I don't think both files are actually corrupt. Do you know, right off hand, a quick way to back out of the converter I installed? I can delete the files it installed, but I'm not...
Bummer! I already installed the converter suggested above and now when I try to open the files in Word, it says the .wps files appear to be corrupted, no matter which version of Works I select :-(
Scratching my head now...

Well, actually, I can open it but it's gibberish. Thanks, in advance, for any help!
I'm running windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 SP2 and MS Office 2000. I've installed what are supposed to be the Works converters wp6rtf.exe and wp2krtf.exe for Works-to-Word conversions, but it's...
Thanks, Timothy :-)
I tried a couple of ways of uploading the file (brower and ftp w/cmd prompt, both using crossover cable), finally resorting to the parallel cable/ltp1 approach, through command prompt, and got the file copied. The display on the printer said it was receiving and processing...
Hi, all :-) Thanks, in advance, for any help...
I have a refurb 4250 that when started says "resend upgrade". I downloaded what appears to be the appropriate firmware upgrade from the HP site (lj4x50fw_08.009.3a.rfu). I connected to the printer via a crossover cable and used the browser to...
