coakerb tried what you said but inputed"my digital camera" on the find field deleted two registry entries that has that name but the my digital camera icon is still there with the icon that windows shows when it doesn't know the file format.

sounds to me that your harddrive needs replacing if your hear loud noices within the hard drive when youre booting up thats it, try making an xp boot disk and scan your hard drive for errors and bad sectors hope that helps

open up avg not the command center and under the services tab is the create rescue disk command, you could try that
