I haven't been on this site in quite a while but recently rediscovered it. What happened? It seems whoever is running the site stopped at Windows XP? What happened to Windows Vista, 7, and Windows 8.1? Did the guy pass or something?
I have a customer who uses Outlook to get his email, and it seems that randomly every couple of days, his mail server settings for mail gets changed to 127.0.0.1. I have done a few searches to find the solution but have only come up with that an anti-virus software package may be the culprit...
Were you ever able to get this to work. I have a laptop with Vista business on it as well and I cannot get it to join my Windows Server 2003 domain. Comes up and gives me some kind of DNS error which states:
An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain being joined has failed...
I've never heard of the MCSE being offered online either.. You have to take these tests at a certified testing site, not online.. I'm sure they would be manipulated too easily if they were online.
The telephony service is disabled on my pc running windows xp that has office 2003, and I don't get that error message when trying to send an email.. Are you sure it was that? I have a user on my network here that is having the same problem...
If you have any ideas, let me know.. The user is...
Thanks for posting that.. I recently asked the same question as my Wireless Zero Service would not start each time I restarted my computer unless I did it manually. Hopefully when I get home and test out this new update from Linksys, the problem will go away. Thanks again for the post!
Every time I reboot my Windows XP Home machine, my Wireless Zero Configuration Service fails to start. I can go in manually to services and start it myself and everything works fine after this, it just is time consuming and annoying to do so. I have set the service to be Automatic and to Run...
If you were new to Linux and wanted to purchase a new Linux distro, would you go with Mandrake or Suse? I mainly want to browse the web, listen to music, learn the different Linux commands and other OS intricacies, but I want to be able to do it easily, and without many problems with drivers...
I am having the same problem (seems to be after installing Windows 2k SP4) and have tried switching back and forth from enabling and disabling NetBios Over TCP/IP. Sometimes it works on the machines and they are able to browse the network and sometimes no change occurs which renders the...
The built in email client isn't too shabby either. It definately is worth paying the $30.00 for, and even the free version is great. Have to talk about the mouse gestures as well, those come in very handy.
Opera is my new browser of choice. Has anyone checked it out lately? Very nice features built in, and it's free. What more can you ask for? Any other happy Opera users out there?
I am using the linux bootloader. If I do an fdisk /mbr what will that do? It's my home PC and I don't want to run into having to re-install every app. I will backup all doc's, pic's ect. before I proceed though. Hopefully all goes well.
I setup Red Hat 9 on my pc with XP to dual boot. I would now like to remove Red Hat 9 because I don't think it's there yet, as far as competition to XP. How do I remove it without hosing my whole computer. Installing it with XP seemed to be easy, but I have a feeling that removing it from the...
