Thanks a lot but I must be missing something here....Both of these places had a lot of IE versions like 5.0 and 5.01 SP1 and SP2 but none had ie5.02 - does it in fact exist or am i being led up the garden path???

THanks for the info marcs but how I have been led to believe that if smtp and nntp are not installed on the machine you are trying to install exchange on then it just kicks up with an error - how do you get round that?
