    AD and ASP Help

All I did was cut and paste the code from the site you gave me. I changed the domain name and OU but that's about it. The code just comes up in the web browser. I will change it to read Response.Write instead.

    AD and ASP Help

Sheco, I reviewed the link and tried many different ways to "pull" the "common name" but I can't seem to retrieve the information. Here is the code: Set Odse = GetObject( "LDAP//DC=Users,DC=DomainName,DC=com") On Error Resume Next Set objUser = GetObject _...

    AD and ASP Help

Sheco wrote: If it is for your intranet then you could just turn off annonymous access and then read the username from Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") and I was able to pull "domain\username" "...then get the user's proper name from the AD via ADSI." How? What code would I use? Thanks.

    AD and ASP Help

I want to first state that I am not a programmer by any means. With that said, here is my problem. I have a intranet site with an ASP page that I would like to pull the user name from AD so when a user opens their web browser, the ASP page will say something like "Welcome John Smith!". I...

Thanks for the response. I thought it might make a difference. I will change the domain name because on occasion I do use SSH.

    Domain-Name change

My company has changed our domain name from A - "ABC-Inc.com" to B - "ABC.com". I just let our "A" domain name expire and registered domain name "B". My questions is on my pix configuration, should I rename the "domain-name" to domain "B" or just leave it as is with domain "A". Does it...

    Domain Security Policy is gone!

One of my assistants deleted the Domain Security Policy. Does anyone know of a way to recreate the policy? When opening the DSP, I get "failed to open the group policy object. You may not have appropiate rights." Detail: the system cannot find the path specified. Thanks.

    Network design help

Thanks Burke for the response. We are a small company so resources are low. A DMZ would be my first choice but again that requires resources. The pix I am using is a 506 and I believe it only has one interface so I will have to make do with a "poor man's" DMZ. Thanks again. Matt

One more question... When adding the web server, should the server be placed between the router and pix or behind the pix? Thanks again. Matt
