I tried typing exactly what you just sent @barcode "*"&[FieldNameWithValue]&"*" and went to save it and it gives me an error. The remaing test does not appear to be part of the formula.

So in the formula field, type @Barcode "*" & [FieldNameWithValue] & "*" and save?

Where in Crystal Reports would you type in the above expression? I just want to make sure we are on the same wave length.

I had to install code 39. Like I said I can change that field to the font in my report.

I have version 7.

If you go to the avove link, I follow the instructions all teh way down to step 9. There is no options under Additional Functions as called out.

Thats the thing. Ive been to those sites. I install by the instructions called out. I go to crystal report, formula editor. Create new formula, look under addtion functions and Im not finding the barcode options.

This would work in Access but not in Crystal Reports. I tried it but we are on the right track. Any other ideas?
