Im running Crystal Reports 7.0. Basically all I want to do is add a barcode to my report. I can change the font to the barcode that I want (Code 39) but i have to have a "*" added to the font for my scanner to reconize it. I have been to ID Automation.com and downloaded the UFL and followed the directions to install.Its not working. Im not the smartest in this area so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I tried typing exactly what you just sent
@barcode
"*"&[FieldNameWithValue]&"*" and went to save it and it gives me an error. The remaing test does not appear to be part of the formula.

hi
this is my last option

insert a text object
inside that text object
add a * next to it add your field name then after that add an other *
try it

cheers
