can't reset password on call pilot 100

I have come up with the answer to this question. If the call pilot 100 is set up for 3 digit mailboxes and your CICS is set up for 2 digits the system managers password will not work and can not be reset. Yes I tried 12 and 102. I had 2 "new to me" call pilots shipped in and when I hooked...

can't reset password on call pilot 100

I think the problem is that the vm has been defaulted and I need to use the password for configuring the system rather than the sys mgr password. I will have it back on my bench next week and will test the theory then.

can't reset password on call pilot 100

I have used the F985 process but am unable to default the system managers password back to default. I have rebooted the cics and the CP100 but no change. CP100 at rev 3.1. I have not yet watched the serial startup process to see if that tells me anything. Any thoughts?

Norstar T7316e line display showing a circle and arrow all the time it is powered up.

Thanks for the replies. Since I posted my original message I have switched the mother boards between a good phone and a bad phone with the problem staying with the display. Allworks: I already tried that one. *7 only affects the horizontal display. Curly: Little bitty companies like mine...

Norstar T7316e line display showing a circle and arrow all the time it is powered up.

I know many of you are super techs at programming and troubleshooting T7316e phones but do any of you, like me, actually repair the phones or do you just replace the phones? My problem is the line/feature display shows the circle and arrow at each button position whenever the phone is powered...

    Call pilot 150 IP number

The IP address has been changed. Thanks to those of you who contributed to the solution. The following is what I did and what you would expect to see or do to make a CP IP change. Nothing special this time, it just worked. Using the standard serial port data observation at reboot I found the...

Norstar 8x24 KSU phones resync ocasionally

I checked into upgrading the 8x24 to an MICS and that would require a new base cabinet, all new modules (6 copper to fiber), a 6-port fiber expansion board and a new voicemail system (startalk 2.0.4.I to CP). There was a 6 port copper module made for the MICS but the system could only use one...

Norstar 8x24 KSU phones resync ocasionally

Curly: The only alarm code in 2018 on the phone system is "289 S8" which shows that it happened today. Other codes are 299 and 629

    Call pilot 150 IP number

Thanks for the feedback. Will using the reset button change anything other than the IP number? The system is still in service and I do not want to have reprogram any of the mailboxes.

    Call pilot 150 IP number

I have a call pilot IP entry which is all alpha characters ending in .net. I changed it to an IP with just numbers but when I went back to look at it, it had changed to another string of alpha characters. There is a reset option next to the IP listing to reset something back to default. What...

Norstar 8x24 KSU phones resync ocasionally

UPDATE : It seems the price of new phone equipment has killed the upgrade to IP phones. I have done more testing on the 8x24 system. Seems that when I do a button inquiry on some phones, all phones reset. So far the phones I have found doing it are all in the base cabinet. I had to move one...

Norstar 8x24 KSU phones resync ocasionally

Thanks for the replies. I have started gathering data about which phones have this problem. I am going to try to pin it down to a station module first. The office manager just reported that while on a conference call her phone blinked (resynced) every few minutes. Curly cord: This system...

Norstar 8x24 KSU phones resync ocasionally

I have a customer who reported to me that occasionally all/some of the phones on their system resync and the lights on each phone flashs. If they are on a call the call will be dropped. The phones are a mixture of M7324, M7310 and M7208. The KSU has one fully used 6-port copper expansion...

    Dead CP100- no lights

I have a customer with an MICS and a CP100 3.0. About a year ago the CP power supply failed and I replaced it (with an 8 volt supply). The CP100 has just failed again. When I first got to it the left side lights were rapidly blinking and no right side lights. I unplugged the power supply and...

    Hunting without a hunt group

Thanks for the feedback guys. I worked with the customer and set up one Answer DN on all 3 phones. Any of the 3 phones can pick up the call. They can only receive one call at a time unless they transfer the call from the Answer DN line but it works for them. If the call is not answered it...

    Hunting without a hunt group

If one of the DN's is busy then the call needs to go to another person in the group. There will be 3 people available to take calls so up to 3 simultanious calls can be handled if this forwarding can be made to work. This need would be covered by a hunt group if the customer had a new phone...

    Hunting without a hunt group

The customer has an 8x24 with DR 5.0 and a Startalk voicemail system. They want to activate the CCR with one of the branches calling an internal number and if busy or not answered the call goes to another number and onto a third if the call is not answered. If the 3rd number is not answered...

Callpilot automatically answering with "Sorry" message

Looks like Curley Cord was the winner in his assessment. I disconnected a line from the CICS and then called the number. After 5 rings I got the "Sorry..." phone company message. Supposidly it will be removed in 24 hours. Sure sounds like an easy problem to troubleshoot now (once you know...

Callpilot automatically answering with "Sorry" message

I have a customer who wants to shut off the automated attendant and just use the voicemail. The attendant (21) will not have voicemail and will just ring until the phone is answered. I removed her mailbox but now after the 5th ring I get a "Sorry that wasn't a valid phone number or group list...
