Setting up Avaya IP Office 500 System

There are no analog line license. They are hardware based as far as the numbers. The most versatile card is the combo card that has six digital ports, two analog ports, and four analog lines. You can have up to four cards in the chassis.

Setting up Avaya IP Office 500 System

So many questions and I get it. If it were you I would look for a used 500 V2 system with an essential Essential edition key card. Without a key card it is a nice paper weight. IMPO the IPO sort of peaked about R9.1 for a basic system. It has embedded voicemail and every feature the partner...

Partner ACS - Incoming Call Issue

The Partner is a simple key system. It expects simple CO line standards. Not much programming involved. Could be a problem with a system that went end of life a decade ago but I would doubt that unless the hardware is failing. It was a rock solid system in it's day but the sun went down a...

SCN using the internet to link sites

We have always used a VPN appliance between sites with a static IPs from the provider.

PRI using an IP based provider vs Telco

Every time I have used one the appliance was supplied by the service provider usually a fiber optic connection. I would just start calling around to providers in the area.

Avaya IP Office SCN - No Audio + SCN Link Down (Network Related)

Usually the first step is checking to see if Direct Media Path is on and turn it off if it is. Direct media path allows the speech path between two IP extensions (after call setup) to be routed directly to each other. This allows the system to free up voice compression resources after...

IP500 Digital Station 30 Modules Not Detected – No Bootloader via RS232 – Post Power Surge

It should give you text in English if your putty is set up right. If it looks like symbols and such your settings are wrong.

    Physical Button to Play Message

Ring down analog phone set to dial the shortcode. When you make the contact the system sees it as a off hook and dials the shortcode. I used to use it for time tones for school class changes.

    Change Caller ID Name sent

That is a phone company thing.

    Connecting a Magix DSS4450 to 4424LD+

I honestly don't remember the pin out. But 568A and B are the same except for the colors... Yes, for ethernet the twist rate varies, but it is still a one to one pin for pin unlike USOC that reverses end to end.

Separate Router needed for an SCN?

That is a pretty wide open question. For small SCNs we used many types of connections. Most small SCNs we used an external site to site router VPN over the internet with static IP from the provider.

SCN moving users to a new site

You can leave them on the first site if you set them up as hot desk users. The only problem I have had doing that was network disruptions can log them out at the new site. Typically I move them to the new site. VM pro does everything by name so it doesn't care which site they are at as long...

    Twinning in Avaya IP Office

What kind of CO lines do you have? You need PRI or SIP. Analog do not work.

    mask number for internal calls

I can honestly say I have no clue what you are looking to do. On it's face value there isn't a way to make internal calls anonymous to other internal users that I know of off the top of my head.

    IP Office

First thing you should find out is if your provider supports CID outbound manipulation. Some do natively and some charge for it as a service. Some only allow you to send numbers you actually own. I think that is where I would start.

    SAVE

Did you hit the save button? Did you send the config back to the system after it was saved? Have you done anything to attempt to resolve the problem? You really didn't give much information to go on.

    Analog Unsupervised Disconnect issue

I do believe that the copper it's self has been there since the 70's. But the CO equipment has probably been recently upgraded since the 70's era equipment has died. I have tried to use the Busy Tone Detection with limited success.

    Analog Unsupervised Disconnect issue

Keep hassling Century Link. They can do it... Just the kids they have for tech support don't know how to do it. There are a lot of names for the same function. I assume these are internet lines. I have had to go round with several internet analog lines providers to find out what their...

Button Programming to dial number shows anonymous

If I am understanding the question correctly it sounds more like an issue with the service provider. CID is a function of the provider. If the IT doesn't get CID when the receptionist calls and it is an external number any caller id would be provided by the service provider depending on the...

Avaya IPO Yealink BLF feature keys.

You probably want to post this to the regular IP Office forum but most third party endpoints don't have most of the functions of the native SIP phones. A lot would depend on the web interface of the phones abilities.
