Actually, I've been using Exabyte (recently purchased by Tandberg) for years and have never had a problem with the service. Maybe that will change now that Tandberg owns them, I'm willing to give it time. Not much of a choice actually but I did get my library with a 3 year NBD onsite warranty...
I'm with everyone else, go with a Exchange hosting company such as www.liveoffice.com (not an endorsement just an example).
Given your catch of:
"this is a small client, doesn't have tons of disk space, doesn't really want to be responsible for keeping the Exchange server up and running ALL...
I've been using an Exabyte (now Tandberg Data) Magnum 448 with one IBM SCSI FH LTO-3 drive and love it. Fast with good capacity, almost 40TB compressed.
Good stuff.

Hi all,
I'm having the oddest problem since I reloaded my dhcp server with my dhcp clients. Some of the clients show the gateway as there own IP address and others work fine. I hooked up a brand new Dell GX520 that had never been on my network before and it received the dhcp info just fine. On...
Hello all,
I've been having an odd problem with a server on my network. The hardware is a Dell Power Edge 2600 Dual 3.066 Xeon with 4GB RAM and two RAID containers on separate channels (one RAID1 2 36GB 15K drives and one RAID5 with 6 146GB 10K drives including a hot spare) and a single gigabit...
Hello all,
I just picked up an old DL580 quad Xeon system and am having a bugger of a time getting into the system setup. I press F9 during boot and it is just ignored. I do have the latest version of the Smart Start CD for this unit. Any pointers?
Thank you,
Tom
Hi Paul,
You could use the archive feature in Exchange.
Open Exchange System Manager
-> Administrative Groups
-> First Administrative Group
-> Servers
-> [ServerName]
-> First Storage Group
Right click on Mailbox Store and select properties. The item you want is on the General tab. Put a check...
Hello everyone!
I hope someone here has some advice for me. I'm setting up a form and I have a drop down box field that is pulling it's information from a sharepoint library list that has a few thousand entries. What I'd like to get working, if possible, is that when the user starts typing in...
It's kind of a pain in Exchange. The third party route is the way to go. GFI's Mail Essentials is pretty good and if you only want the disclaimers it's free. After the trial period expires the disclaimers keep working, not a glitch it's just that that part is free.

Hello all,
Well it work, and with user level security :)! It turns out the account I was testing it with had elevated permissions. I checked with other accounts and all is well. Thanks to everyone that responded!
Tom
OK, I set up the permissions. On the share in share permissions I have Authenticated Users (change&read) in the NTFS permissions I have Domain Users (read&execute, read and list) and Administrators (full control). On the sub-folders I have Administrators (full control) and the user (full...
