    OCZ PC3200 - Intel D865PERL - Non-Default BIOS Timings - Won't Post

Take out the memory and replace 1 stick at a time. Boot and see if it posts if not the try the other stick. This memory doesn't appear as tested memory for this board. Dual channel can be very fussy about the memory. Both modules have to have the same exact specs. Got o this link for tested...

Is serial ATA hard drive worth the extra ?

I would buy a SATS drive only if the motherboard has this capability. The serial to parallel converters are causing problems on older computers(made within the last 3 years).

Yep that's about right. Be sure that when you purchase your memory either buy a dual channel kit or that both modules have the same specs. Including cas latency(cl), buffered or non-buffered, ECC, Parity or non-parity and Mega Bytes. Even then there isn't a guarentee that they will work in dual...

Acceptable Hard Disk Error Rates From Testing

Is there 65 errors or 65 bytes. Does it tell how many bits are affected? The problem is that 1.08 Gigs isn't very much capacity if this is a windoze machine. When you format this drive the formatter is going to mark all of the bad blocks and your going to have even less capacity. Put this...

System does not recognize hdd at all

There are 3 ways you may be able to go with. 1) Get an adapter card which contains its own bios. Maxter has an ultra ATA/133 PCI adapter card. Its made by Promise Technolgies. I have used this in Pentium 120mhz and higher. You will have to go into your bios setup and show that HDD's are not...
