Phantom extn and bridged line appearances

The idea is to give a visual notification that there is a incoming call to a specific extension or group and if it doesn't get picked up within a specific time it the phone starts ringing. On some phones it needs to ring straight away, but as the same time as the other phones get the visual...

Phantom extn and bridged line appearances

Hi, I'm having a few problems with phantom extensions, I'm not even certain if what I am trying to do is possible. What I would like is a phantom extn that has a bridged appearance on a number of phones. I can set this up, but when ever I call the phantom extension I always get busy. Does...

Using RSA SecurID with RPC over HTTP on Exchange 2003

We currently are using RPC over HTTP within our Exchange Enviroment, we are planning to deploy RSA SecurID to help with password security, and secure the logon process. From all the information I have been able to find using RSA SecurID will cause RPC over HTTP from the outlook clients to no...

    Mailbox send limit

Is the problem with messages from "Internal to Internal" or "external to internal" or "internal to external" ? Have not come across the problem on Exchnage 2003 or the SBS version. Have you got any connectors configured in routing groups, there is usally a limit on the connectors as well.

    installing second exchange server

Step 1, never put exchange 2003 on a DC unless you can help it, except for sbs where you have no choice. It always causes problems especially for DR. Exchange databases can only be restored to a server of the same name. and as its a DC, may cause a few problems What you are trying to do is...

What can you tell me about Net App equipment?

We have just installed 2 Fas250's to provide backed exchange storage in the Uk and Germany and also to provide file serving on those 2 sites. Both are using Iscsi for the Exchange database and logs Drives, it works very well and replicates the data to its conterpart, so in the event of a...

If you turn on logging on the virtual smtp service, you will be able to see where all the traffic is coming from. Atleaset then you will be able to see if it is internal or external. you need to restart the service after setting it up, and you may what to select more fields on the advanced tab...

Can you move MDBDATA in Exchange 2003???

It is service affecting so don't do it during the day :) Who's San are you using, we are using the Netapp kit over Iscsi and replicating the data to a remote DR site. All in one box, its pretty cool. Cheers The Moogy

    Maximum Database Size

Disks may be the limit, but I would try and limit it, remember you have to back it up, and in the event of a disaster you also have to recover it. You could also try setting mailbox limits and looking into an archive solution such as KVS or EAS. Cheers The Moogy

    Directory Replication to another Server......

If you just want some thing that is simple, try robust copy on the Win2k resource kit, its a bit like Xcopy but has a lot more features, we have been using it to replicate data between servers. Cheers The Moogy

Can you move MDBDATA in Exchange 2003???

I would buy some hard drives, putting exchange logs and database on a network drive is not supported and will cause you no end of problems. Iscsi drives are supported though. I am presuming it is just a mapped drive to a share somewhere. As for moving the location of the Exchange database...
