We have multiple sites with links going to their respective subnets and DCs in the enterprise. When pinging the domain name, we can see all of the enterprise DCs, not just from our site.

Techy,
Thanks for the response. I'm familiar with the IP class ranges for public and private. I just used those in my scenario.
Do you have any other input or suggestions? Any answers for my original question?

Hello,
I have a question on subnets for Sites and Services. We have a huge enterprise forest with lots of sites and DCs. I have been given three IP address ranges for our site:
128.28.X.X
128.29.X.X
128.30.X.X
As a local system admin, I have subnetted those three ranges based on our needs...
Gotta love it when your system throws you a curve ball!
Haven't tried WS yet but will do that later on today. Thanks again for the info and the assist.

Thanks for the info. Was it blocking 389/636? Or was it something else? I'm not using anything to filter web traffic other than the ASA. But this problem has been going on for a month or so but there haven't been any changes to the ASA. The only other thing I can think of is something with...
FloDiggs,
I realize this is from earlier this year but I am wondering if you ever found a resolution. I'm running into the same problem and came across your post.

Can anyone tell me how many print devices I can run on one W2K3 server? We are currently using TCP/IP printing directly from the client machines to the printers. We want to set up a print server, or multiple servers, if needed.
Any and all help is appreciated.

Bogboy,
You can try to delete it in safe mode. If that doesn't work, disable FlashGet from starting automatically (since this is the program most likely holding the file hostage), reboot and then delete it.
Hope this helps...

David,
As far as clearing the cached accounts, I'm not sure how to do that. However, you can disable cached account logging in the following location:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/winlogon/cachedlogonscount
The default is set at 10. The max is 50. To disable, set to 0...
Doug,
I would use a combination of scott's, Auger's, and your ideas. First, create another user profile for work. You can use the current one for home.
Use the steps in scott's link to create a batch file to set your TCP/IP settings to use DHCP and have it run automatically (add it to your...
You can run 'msconfig' to see all programs that are starting, even if they aren't listed in the All Programs > Startup group. Determine which programs need to run and uncheck the ones that don't. Reboot and see if that fixes the problem. You may want to try one at a time so you'll know which...
What did you use for your NT4 login scripts? Do you want it to do the same for 2000?
I use Kixtart - http://www.kixtart.org
Good Luck!

If you are using the same directory structure, you can copy the registry key containing the share information from the bad server to the good server. But this will ONLY work if you use the same directory structure.
Assuming you have your files on the same drives as the original server, you can...
