I am an NT4 Server Admin migrating to Win2k Server with little documentary backup. I know how to provide a logon script for users under Win NT4.00 server but know jack about the subject under Win 2K Svr. Books ordered but can anyone give me a quick idiots course to get me started?

Place your scripts in the systemroot\sysvol\sysvol\domain\scripts folder. On the users profile tab, specify the login script. Placing the script in the sysvol (netlogon) folder will ensure it is replicated to all controllers and availabe to all users.

What I do is go to the group policy that is applied to the group/ou you want the logon script to run for, and go to User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Scripts, and browse for your script there, if you want to save time trawling through the directory structure.
