I couldn't be more embarassed. Without getting too boring, suffice to say you were correct, the user was looking at the wrong database. I assumed she was and that I wasn't...don't know what made me believe that, but it's all figured out now. Thanks for your responses...
dhookom,
Thanks, that's a neat trick. Unfortunately, it confirmed that I am using the correct database. This is weird. I copied it to a public folder on my fileserver. I can see it in the right place and the user is able to enter data in the tables and run reports. When I open it up, it...
Folks,
I just created a new database in a Development directory. I copied it to another directory with no data. I had the user begin to enter data. It works fine for her. But when I go to look at it, it is still empty, none of the data she entered is visible at all. It looks exactly as it...
Eureka! I was so bogged down in the idea of keeping things seperate, I never thought of that angle. Thanks. Now the only question is, how do I filter the reports to ignore the records that result in a zero balance? Seems like you can't put a filter on a report...?
Folks,
I am developing what I thought would be a simple database, but it is turning into a pain. Basically, the database is for keeping track of Community Service hours worked by offenders. I have a master table that contains their information as well as the day and the number of hours they...
When I go to address an email using OWA, and the address is NOT in my contacts folder or in the Address book, the Check Names Web Page Dialog opens. It will not allow me to send the email because it doesn't recognize the name. Obviously, this is a problem when trying to send a email to anyone...
I have a document built from a template that will not print correctly to a local Canon BJC-70 printer.
The user will fill in the fields on the form, and is able to print to a network laser printer and all fields are populated and correct. However, when they do the same thing only try to print...
I have a feeling that the answer is no, but I thought I'd ask. We are running win2K workstations on a NT network. We will be migrating soon, but first I have a bunch of new workstations to deploy. We don't use roaming profiles, for a bunch of reasons, but we will be using them after the...
Hmmm, interesting. Try this:
After you delete the DNS settings, log off and log back on. Then from a command prompt, type "set". This will show you where all your settings are coming from, including the BDC you authenticate to, etc. Just curious what that would show for DNS...
...maybe the...
I tried a few options I found from MS:
1) Set Local Policy called "DomainMember: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel data (always)" to Disabled. Still no dice. This was suggested because the encryption would not work with WinNT, so it needed to be disabled.
2) ENabled...
I guess it depends on a few factors, but to start with, disable the Admin account, set up groups for your administrator(s).
Have server in a locked facility.
Force logoff after so many minutes of inactivity.
Just a few suggestions...
I am having a similar problem.
I have a new XP SP1 workstation which I am trying to add to a NT 4.0 domain. I go through the process from the workstation, it welcomes me to the domain then reboots. I check Server Manager and the workstation is there, but it gives me an error:
"The trust...
How embarassing...
There WAS a double record, which I could swear I looked for, but I must have been searching the wrong table. Thanks for your assistance!!

Hope this is the right forum, as my question seems to encompass tables, queries and reports.
Here is what I have. I have a report, which runs off a query, which uses two tables. One table is a member master table, with member names and beginning balances, and the other is a member transaction...
