Folks,

I just created a new database in a Development directory. I copied it to another directory with no data. I had the user begin to enter data. It works fine for her. But when I go to look at it, it is still empty, none of the data she entered is visible at all. It looks exactly as it did when I copied it over. I'm sure I must have done something goofy. Any ideas?

Someone is probably not using the expected database. I usually add a text box to a main form with a control source like:
=CurrentDb.Name
This will diplay the full path to the mdb.

dhookom,

Thanks, that's a neat trick. Unfortunately, it confirmed that I am using the correct database. This is weird. I copied it to a public folder on my fileserver. I can see it in the right place and the user is able to enter data in the tables and run reports. When I open it up, it looks brand new, and I know I'm using the right one. Is there some kind of property that makes it remember the way it looked on my desktop...?

Thanks!

Are you using a front-end/back-end solution?
I have no idea what you mean by "looks brand new".

I couldn't be more embarassed. Without getting too boring, suffice to say you were correct, the user was looking at the wrong database. I assumed she was and that I wasn't...don't know what made me believe that, but it's all figured out now. Thanks for your responses...
