    ping -a produces loopback on all computers

    maybe it can't find DNS, ping -a just resolves to hostname try an nslookup to see if you can resolve the name that way.

    Make sure everybody is refering to the server by name and maje sure DNS gets updated. If you have any replication and AD sites setup you need to update those as weel if the server is goint o be on another network
