you probably have a cheap motherboard like ECS or something. I have that issue with ECS sometimes. If you have a cheapie motherboard then get a better one! The IDE controllers on those work most of the time but sometimes you end up with a system that has problems like that..
I personally think that ghost is the best.... but driveimage is not far behind. They both create boot disks on floppies than you can use to automate the process.. But if you want to store your backup onto CD it's easier to use Driveimage.
