Windows Update

We've just installed a windows 2000 server advanced with sp4. We are trying to do a windows update and it tells me:

We've made improvements to our website. To download the new version of the software and begin using Windows Update, please click Update Now. [ Update Now ]

We click the update now and it continues to tell me that there's new windows update software required.

How do we get this to work properly?

I installed windows 2000 advanced server into my system at home that I host my site on and I did not have that problem. One thing that I can tell you through my experience, is that on some systems, the windows 2000 update site does not function well. I have 50 computers at my office that I installed windows 2000 on, and I have about 2 that it does not function well on.. no matter how many times I install windows on it. Maybe it's a hardware related problem... seems to be in my case. Defective hardware can corrupt data however small of an amount....

I too have run into problems using the Windows Update icon on occasion. What I have found seems to work all the time is manually typing in the URL.

http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com
