Thanks Steve. I needed to do a bit more than that, but you put me on the path, so you get a star.
Just in case anyone happens upon this post, this is what I did:
1. Redirected restore of the Veritas folder
2. Copy all of the files from the restored Catalog folder to the new Catalog folder
3...
I recovered a server, but did not restore the Veritas folder in Program Files because I have had trouble with Veritas after the restore in the past when I did. Consequently, I would have to rebuild all of the Backup Jobs.
This is obviously getting old and time consuming, so what seems like a...
I can think of three possibilities:
1. The tape is bad. Try re-labeling (i.e. erasing) it and trying again. If you can't, it's dead.
2. The drive needs cleaning.
3. The write-protect is set on the tape itself. Move the write protect switch and see if it works.

Our company is virtual...no office. We use pop3 email hosted externally. I just setup an Exchange server (SBS 2k3) internally at my place so that I can use GoodLink (see:this-is-so-freakin-hot). I have setup the pop3 configuration manager to download my email and push it to Exchange to make the...
Sorry, I should have been more clear. The Exchange server is configured to automatically download pop3 email via the pop3 connection manager. Exchange server then erases the email from the pop3 server by default after it downloads. Clients connect to the Exchange server internally, usually. I...
I have blown away and done a reconfig on two of the three pix's several times now. I am posting pix1 and pix2 config's. I can't see what the problem is. It looks textbook to me. If you see it, please let me know.

How does one delete the tunnel in the cli? I tried "no isakmp ..." for a specific line, but that didn't work. There are two tunnels, and I don't want to delete both and have to drive several hours to a router with no remote access capability.

If I try to put in a new line, ala:
isakmp key KEY address 123.123.123.123 netmask 255.255.255.255
...and I get a note that there is already a key for that ip. So I tried:
no isakmp key KEY address 123.123.123.123 netmask 255.255.255.255
...and got the help lines for isakmp
I just want to...
I manage several Exchange Servers, some using GoodLink, some using BlackBerry. I prefer GoodLink hands-down both from the user side, and from the sysadmin side. Most of my clients who use GoodLink receive email on their Treo's before it hits Outlook on their desktop. Additionally, GoodLink...
The DHCP service is randomly stopping on my server. No other services stop, and everyone who already has an address connects to the server fine. The service stops about once per week, on random days, at random times. I searched several forums and MS, but did not find any references.
TIA for...
I am having a similar problem. When my VPN clients connect to a pix 501, using the Cisco VPN client, they get a LAN IP, but the gateway they get is the same IP. For example:
IP Address 192.168.1.200
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.200
I cannot figure out how to change this...
I have a Pix 501 to which people connect via the Cisco VPN client. On the LAN side, the server is running DHCP, and gives the Pix LAN IP as the gateway and everything works fine.
The Pix runs DHCP only for VPN connections. When people connect to the VPN, they get assigned an IP from the Pix...

I have several questions with several possibilities, but too much to type here. If you want, email me at rockjock[at]yahoo[dot]com and I'll email you back with my phone number so you can call me. May be able to solve it in a couple of minutes that way.
