Hi, I'm trying to find some information on how to prioritise voice traffic between Nortel switches over routed WAN links.
I can see on our 8010 core switch that the voice vlans are set to 6 for both user priority and QoS level, on other switches, like the 5510 and 4550 I don't see any options...
Hi, console access to the card doesn't work either, whereas to the active cpu it's ok, I'm going to re-seat the card out of hours and see if it comes up correctly.
Hi, thanks for the info, but surely the status should say 'standby' and not 'dormant'
I can't telnet from the active to the dormant card (peer telnet), I also can't copy a file to the 'dormant' card's pcmcia, and surely all LEDs on, including switch and cpu utilisation is not normal.
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me, in an 8010 chassis we have 2 x CPU cards, slot 5 and 6, if I look at the status of the cards I see the following:

Hi, we have an 8610 with 2 free slots in which I need to install extra modules, an 8616GTE and an 8632TXE, is there anything i need to be aware of, I'm particularly thinking of the software revision on the modules, since they are refurbished I won't know what they are.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm sure this is something very simple, however, I can't seem to figure it out.
This is on a Sonicwall Pro 3060.
I am trying to allow access from a subnet 192.168.xxx.0/24 (this is not an interface configured on our firewall) to 192.168.yyy.0/24 (this is an interface configured on our...
Hi, we are setting up a new WAN between 4 sites on L3 switches (to replace the current managed MPLS setup)
Sites are A, B, C and D
The circuits from the provider are Ethernet point-to-point
site A is primary
site B is secondary and DR
site C and D are other offices
2 x 1Gbps

The problem was that the Sonicwall didn't like the third DNS server field to be left empty, so I entered 0.0.0.0 and it then accepted all the new settings.
I tried to change the public IP address to a new subnet (we are changing ISP) on a Sonicwall Pro 3060 and receive the reply "invalid IP address", I am doing this by editing the WAN interface (X1), does anyone know why I get this message, do I need to delete the interfce and recreate it instead...
I think this is an announcement from SAP, session announcement protocol, try the command 'show ip sap' on your switch and router, this is the SAP cache and should tell you the source IP address of the announcement....hopefully!

I got this off the Cisco website, might be helpful:
Q. How is the Catalyst 6500 CSM configured?
A. The CSM is configured with Cisco IOS and can run in a pure IOS chassis as well as a Hybrid chassis (running IOS with CatOS). The CSM does not operate in a pure CatOS chassis. Hybrid configurations...
Go down to the 'line con 0' part of the config, you should see that the speed has been set to 115200, you need to do a 'no speed 115200', then save the config and reload, it should then be ok.
