Thanks to everyone. I actually just used a spare hub tied into the switch that the router went into. Plugged in the IP address to the computers and everything seems to be fine.
Thanks again.

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this can be done. Is there a way to take a computer on my network and tie it into the public side of my router? I have extra IP addresses with my ISP, but I'm not sure how to reconfigure the workstations. I'm basically looking to get internet access on this system through...
Hi Blueark,
I'm sorry I don't really have an answer for you. I hadn't even heard of XClusive. I was more curious if there is much of a difference between it and YTD. For the most part we are still using Quark 5 and YTD, but there is a version 6.1 of YTD for Quark 6. We have it installed on one...
I've seen this problem if you have the Suitcase XT active in quark but not actually enabled. If this is the case, you can either disable the Suitcase XT from the extensions manager in quark which will give you the Quark alert or you can enable the suitcase extension at Edit - preferences -...
The "converter supports documents created originally in Microsoft Publisher 2000". You might want to check the Adobe site:
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/33062.htm
and the help file with the converter. There are probably some features in Publisher 2003 that are not supported.
I don't know...
Go to utilities - usage make sure you are on the pictures tab, select the picture name and check the more information box. This should display the path for the file.

You may also want to upgrade your version of pagemaker.
From the Adobe web site:
"PageMaker 6.5x, however, may not meet your expectations in Windows XP, since it was released prior to Windows XP and was not developed for this operating system."
That is strange. I had installed the Laserwriter PPD and only had the options of grayscale or black and white. I'm not sure what other advice to offer you. If you would like, you could email me the particular pdf page to take a look at. Sorry for the lack of info.

I believe the Apple Laserwriter Personal is a black and white printer. This would explain your type coming out in just black. I don't know if using another printer description will help with the extended text though.

"We have been using the "place" method to insert photos (no copy/paste)."
You do mean that you are going to File - Get Picture to insert photos and not to Edit - Insert Object. You will see a difference in file size even if you are linking with the Insert Object.
If you're sending files from Quark 6, there is an extension at http://www.badiaxt.com./
In the upper left of the page look for FixUnknown
Hope this helps
Dave
Brushman,
I think that you are correct that the fonts are not embedded in the eps.
SGLong,
I am also curious as to why you create the eps and then distill?
Dave
If you are looking for a "mail merge" option, I believe the only way is through an extension. I have only messed around with XData, but there are many others. Here is a link with a few. http://www.thepowerxchange.com/PowerXChange/showprod.cfm?&DID=6&CATID=28&ObjectGroup_ID=21
Hope...
You might also want to try the Office 2000 Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
