    Help using Project Server 2003

I recently installed and set up Project Server 2003 on a small domain. We have about 5 users who will be using project. I would like to know if there are any articles, papers, or other resources you may know of that could help me understand how to use Project Server. I am new to project in...

RAS Server having problems authenticating users

I added the RAS server to the list of RAS and IAS servers in the Active Directory group on our PDC. I also rejoined the domain, then logged into the RAS server using a domain login. It now works. I'm not exactly sure why, but i'm glad it does. Thanks for trying to help me out, ewallig.

RAS Server having problems authenticating users

Hi everyone. I have a Windows 2003 Server running RRAS joined to a domain. I am trying to establish a dial-in connection and have RRAS authenticate the user by CHAP authentication. I have enabled reversibly encrypted passwords and allowed the user dial-in access. There seems to be a problem...

    Allow Specific Mac Addresses

When would I want to use a Standard MAC address access list and when would I use a Extended. This is the first Cisco router I have ever worked with, so I am still in the dark on many aspects.

    Allow Specific Mac Addresses

Thanks N3Xus. I guess the next thing to do is get a managed switch. Any ideas on a good but inexpensive 24 port model?

    Allow Specific Mac Addresses

Thanks AdmanOK. So if I were to purchase a managed switch would I be able to do this easily? Any suggestions on a switch?

    Allow Specific Mac Addresses

The switch we have is a Dell PowerConnect 2024, which is an unmanaged switch. There is no way to do any port security on this switch. As far as the router (Cisco 1760) goes, thats what I am trying to find out.

    Allow Specific Mac Addresses

    can't it be done with extended access lists ?" That is what I would like to know. I tried using access-list 700, for instance: access-list 700 deny abcd.abcd.abcd 0000.0000.0000 access-list 700 permit aaaa.aaaa.aaaa ffff.ffff.ffff interface fastethernet0/0 bridge-group 1 input-address-list...

    Allow Specific Mac Addresses

Is it possible to specify a list of mac addresses that are allowed to access the router, and prevent all others from doing so? Right now our Cisco 1760 is running as a DHCP server, so if anyone came into our office and plugged in a laptop, they would have access (although very limited) to our...

    Connection Timeout Problems

Hello everyone. I have noticed that my network is having some connection problems that I belive has to do with timeout settings on our Cisco 1760 router. Here is the setup: PDC "Server" with 2 public addresses x.x.x.3 and x.x.x.4 and one private address of 192.168.1.254. All LAN pc's have...

DNS Problems with private address after server restart

I will try that Serbtastic, thank you. I am sure that will work. I would still like to know why this causes a problem though, just for my own knowledge. If anyone can enlighten me, I would truly appreciate it.

    scanned bmp or jpg

I have used this program called OmniPage Pro. It is basically an OCR (text recognition) program. It can read text on pretty much any scanned document or image. There are also many other programs that will probably do this, too. I suggest searching for free OCR programs on Google, and you...

Hello everyone! I have a windows 2000 sbs functioning as our company's PDC. It has 3 NIC cards, 2 with public addresses and 1 with a private address. It also functions as our mail server, and the MX record points to mail.domain.com. I also have 2 host records named 'mail' for each of the...
