Script needs to be located in \WINNT\SYSTEM32\REPL\EXPORT\SCRIPTS
Then specify the name of the script in the users profile in the Login script name area.

You should be able to remove the partition and recreate it, is there any reason you need to keep the existing partitions.
Choose the delete option and then create new partitions as required
NSS /pollrebuild seems to be a bit of a drastic measure to take to fix the above.
Novell clearly state the the rebuild options should only be used if there are no other options

My recommendation would be to download all the relevant .pdf files from the novell Netware 6 site, I found that these provided me with all (or nearly all) the information I needed. As mentioned aerlier by other posters, lots on NSS, Clustering, Indexes.
In my opinion a very tough exam, good luck.
I would guess that its because explorer relies on netbuie/netbios naming which is not a rouable protocol.
Best options are to use a WINS server or just populate your lmhosts file with the netbios name ---> ip address for name resolution.

I have seen something similar where group policies were being used to provide some of the options under start\programs, from an area on another server. The time it took for it to get the info across the network slowed things dont drastically
Have you done anything recenly with your file permissions for the drive where your pagefile is hosted. If the system doesnt have the right permissions it wont be able to create the file.
Have you tried looking under the advanced tab of the Novell client. There is a section which contains the Windows login details, have you changed these yet to reflect your new domain name etc.
