Statically assigning your servers is always the way to go...
Can you ping the server by name and IP? Can you browse the server of any shared files/folders?
Check the terminal services manager, ensure your rdp connection is still enabled and that you have the permissions to use rdp still...
You should download the support tools for windows 2000 and run a health check to make sure your current domain is fully functional... Find them here:

At very minimal, run dcdiag and netdiag. check for warnings...
What's the primary dns server as listed in the network connections? Is it the IP of the 2003 server?
Run nslookup from a command prompt on your 2000 server.

Wouldn't the router belong to the ISP for managed internet? It was stated that the password for the routers is unknown. Is the IP on the outside of the pix a public or private?

I have a small client with a pix 501, using the kiwi syslog daemon to log everything from the pix. This works fine.
Is there anything besides websense that works with the pix for internet monitoring? I don't like having monitoring done by a 3rd party company, prefer to have something onsite...
You can exmerge and narror down by dates as well, give you a better shot at the smaller pst's.

Well, the internal subnet is 192.12.20.x/24. When I set up the vpn's, I did it originally with the same subnet but couldn't get any network access. I did this through the sdm, and it asked "are you sure you want to do this". Should have been my first clue.

ok, thanks for that. By reading I assumed that by changing the subnet for vpn that it work better. Vpn links up and all is well, can connect to rdp now :)
