Same problem here. Thought it was DNS. I turned off NDRs for senders, etc. Still no let up. We are not an open relay, but we are seeing tons of relay attempts here - like an unintended DoS attack. Been happening for days and we are choking.

If you mean you have two Personal Folders (.pst), then I had the same problem.
Two Personal Folders showed up on Outlook folders and in Delivery Options. I only have one. One of the Personal Folders "could not be found" bu Outlook.

Our mail queues are backing up and hosts are not resolving/pinging. I have called several other techies on different ISPs and they report similar issues at this time. A Sam Spade lookup of various domains (aol, msn, yahoo, hotmail, etc.) yields results like this:

I use the solution you suggest (VPN to Exchange) but the volume of email is too great for even a few users unless they use Personal Folders to store email. Not an option here.

CISSP is more management-based, but ISC2 also offers the new SSCP certification. While still less technical than GIAC, it only requires one year security experience. They are both very broad-based certifications.
