Hi, i am still new to exchange and networking stuff. Current my company is outsoucing all the email services to an ISP. The environment of my company is that all the PCs are not hook up on a network. We are using dial up then connect to the ISP to retrieve mails.

The coming plans are, we intend to network the whole environment and using a ADSL router to go into the internet. We will place an exchange server in the Local network. Now the question is here.

1) Do i need to install a DNS in my local environment or should i outsoucce the DNS?

2) if i install DNS in my local network, what IP address should i put on the MX record? the local mail server ip address or the ip address given to me by the ISP?

Thank You

Use your ISP's DNS and your MX records should contain the IP given to you by your ISP.
