have you recently installed or uninstalled a program application ? this error meaning the NT is detected an error of some sort, if this kept on occuring, you should reinstalled the application (if any) and then just get a clean uninstall

what type of processor are you using for your system, are they in the HCL list ?
I installed mine with 2 P2-400 just worked on its own.

first of all I think, one NIC can only have one IP address, you need two NIC only if you are connecting this server onto two different network (two different subnet or gateway)

are you sure the modem dial up fine ? some of the modem would just "make dial sound" appears to you like its dialing, have the modem dial a regular phone number see if it rings

so you may have the problem in the local profile, did you recreate the NT user account with the same name ? if so, make sure you delete the local profile folder on the XP machine so you can a clean start when she login into her "new" network account, then try outlook
