    In internet explorer you may want to go to the Tools>Internet Options>connections>Lan Settings and uncheck everything. Sometimes it assumes you are using a proxy server. Worked for me. r

    You are right the manual is a bit vague. If your MOBO came with this it is worth a try, just make sure you jumper it for the device you are attaching. Also, it appears that you can use the front USB connector as there are additional pins available for the remaining two of four USB connectors.
