Actually, I have solved the mystery. Just on a fluke, I downloaded drivers for a wireless card. See, I never knew whether it had one or not since the OS was corrupted. It did, the drivers worked and the network controller issue was because of the missing wireless adapter. Thanks! D

It's definitely something with the particular workstation. I can add others to the printer with no problem. This end user is a real airhead so there's no telling what she's done to the computer.

Ping works fine both loopback and the printer. It is a standalone printer connected to the network via a jet direct card.

TCP/IP Only. Maybe uninstall TCP/IP and reinstall???
