Erm I notice in your 2nd post you say that BOTH drives are set to master. Do I assume you are using BOTH IDE channels or do you have both drives an one cable,BOTH set to MASTER???? If this is the case then you need to set the 2nd drive to SLAVE.
Hope it helps

Hey again Geekgal
When your friend flashed the bios, did he set it up correctly? It is necessary to assign IRQs etc. and define settings for different ports/drives etc. for optimum operation.
Check the AGP memory assignment in the bios.

HAve you partitioned the drive? It's deffinitely NOT fun if you have an 80Gb partition with windows and all your programs installed on the same partititon. Imagine if Windows has a fault and you have to run Scandisk on "thorough" setting- how LONG would that take? Imagine defragging...
The infamous KERNELL32.dll error is one which Microsoft choses to deal with rather comprehensively as in the above post. However,it's quite a common problem and installing a new Kernel.dll NEVER solves the problem....Microsoft denies there is a problem with the actual dll file so they are not...
When you installed all these drivers, did you completely remove the previous ones? If not, then that's your problem.
Do a search for a program called NVunin.exe and use that to uninstall your drivers.

You'd put such a message on your CD wouldn't you?

Correct me if I've missed something in the posts but it seems to me,you haven't indicated whether ornot you've installed Windows or any operating system. If there's nothing to boot to then it won't boot,as said above.
If your Power supply is a good quality one, there shouldn't be a problem, but if...

So....instead of that ol' 33.6 modem, how about upgrading to 56k or even ADSL?
Dunno if that's your problem, but there are a lot of settings that affect the speed of your connection. I find the most common misconception is the need for "compression" in modem and port settings. Check...
Hmmmm a Win95 machine huh?
What type/brand of printer is the machine networked to?
HAve you checked the network and spooling settings?
How many printers are networked?
What length of cable is installed?
Is the printer an older type with a small memory buffer?
Do Office and other programs...
Those little cooured dots are usually indicative of dodgy memory on your video card. Some old voodoo and diamond cards were particularly prone to this. Check your vid card...try a cheapie and see if it still does it.
