Is there any difference between the color or brand name of CDR's? Is one just as good as another? When installing a game I sometme get a warning that if I copy this game, that the copy will not be as good as the original over time, what is this?

Well, this is not really the place to discuss the illegal copying of games, but if you must know....what would YOU do if you wrote some software and knew that people were going to copy it?

You'd put such a message on your CD wouldn't you?
It's just there to scare you away...that is,unless you use some really dodgy disks that degrade over time...the foil can oxidise if the coating is not sealed properly.

No it is not, but since you brought it up. But where does illegal fit in? Do I not have the legal right to make a back-up?
To rephrase my orignal question... How can I tell If disks are DODGY?
and thanks for your help!
