No you can,t do a backup of exchange without the exchange agent... the server will be grayed out if trying to select it... grt DM330

I had the same problem... and yes a remote agent is installed on the server. Looked the technet from veritas and after a long search there was a stuppid solution but it solved the problem... Just edit all the backup jobs and set the backup priority to normal or low and the error dissapears...

No there isn't You can set it to 4 days... so they are deleted more quikly. note: Set a mailbox size limit, because if you don,t your exchange database can grow out of your server and than you are in big trouble... grt DM330

Just rightclick on the 2e node and pause that node, so this way yhe 2e node doesn't failover if the first one goes down... grt DM330
