Looking for info on what each icon actually means

I'm using arcserve 11.5 for windows. I've got a rough idea what most icons mean, but is there some sort of "dictionary" (pictionary?) out there that defines what each icon next to a file in a restore window means. I'm specifically looking for information about lotus notes agent based restores...

    restore groupwise to different machine

I do what you're trying to do for a living, so feel free to ask questions. It is somewhat of a pain to recover, but it's doable.

Information Store Question for Exch 5.5

If you want the physical size of the priv.edb to shrink you'll have to run an offline defrag. Check your application event log for online maintainence info as well to determine what the logical size of your info store is as well.

-=-Internet Mail Service (IMS) will not start -=-

When you reinstalled exchange, did you first remove it, and also remove the \exchsrvr directory? If not, I've seen some cases where even after removing the software, the directory is left intact, and whatever's out there now that is preventing IMC from starting might be still left behind. I...

ccMail on a Netware 6 server

Eh, sometimes.... as far as a file system to host.. as long as it supports a DOS 5.1 (or something like that.. fergot which version) than its fine. Where cc:Mail get's screwy is with file locking, caching and permissions. There have been some issues in the last with versions of the netware...

Can not recieve message from cc:Mail

Can you try to use the cc:Mail client to access the mailbox? If they're available, try using the cc:Mail export tool to export the mailbox, see if that's successful. It sounds like there's something specific about a message that the outlook client just can't handle. I'm not sure with the...

Exch 5.5: Command line IS/DS Consistancy Check?

It's not all that hard really to automate it. The process is going to tend to be the same everytime if I'm using the same enviornment, and repeating the same process over and over again. If something does happen to go different or out of the expected, you can account for that in a script and...

Exch 5.5: Command line IS/DS Consistancy Check?

Unless I missed something, neither of those actually helps me do what I need to do. The first link points out the IS/DS consistency adjuster and how to use it with the GUI, but I'm looking for a way to do the IS/DS consistency adjuster without the GUI, or at least without human interaction.

Exch 5.5: Command line IS/DS Consistancy Check?

I'm looking for a way to run an IS/DS COnsistancy Check, without having to have user interaction. I'm trying to find a way that I can fully automate a restore so that if I can send of a restore of Exch 5.5 to another server (same site/org, but not a member of the production site/org), and it...

Why does email get delivered internally when Internet's down

Even if you were using a pure SMTP enviornment, and you didn't muck with any registry settings, Exchange cache's its DNS lookups for I THINK (could be wrong) for 24 hours.

    VB And CCMail

Actually... if you are looking for VIM delveloper's kits.. you might want to check out the Lotus ftp site. They actually have a lot of old cc:Mail stuff there, and if I remember correctly they have VIM stuff too. ftp://ftp.support.lotus.com/pub/comm/ccmail/index.html

    Groupwise Recovery?

Ok, here's my situation. I've recently started at a company that no longer has a groupwise or novell enviornment. They have several old dlt tapes with groupwise on them. I need to restore this and be able to migrate to exchange. (long story) I've never supported groupwise before.. and only...
