Information Store Question for Exch 5.5

I am @ 15 gig I am running Exch Stardard, so I did go around and molve email into a pst but I noticed that the information store didnt move @ all and I have the info store to do a 30 del retion , so my questions are
1. Why didnt the Infostore size go down
2. If I turn off 30 day del retion how can I purge the data deleted data that is still on exchange?

If you want the physical size of the priv.edb to shrink you'll have to run an offline defrag.

Check your application event log for online maintainence info as well to determine what the logical size of your info store is as well.
