The fully supported XP client for XP will be v4.82 in the early Novemeber timeframe - this is just an interim/bugfix release.

You can do all of that and you will get the proper username, but as soon as you change the name on the login screen these locations are overwritten. Thus...the "default" user is the one that last logged in.
Have you seen something different, i.e. the name in the regkeys...
Through "Internet Explorer\Tools\Internet Options\Connections" you can set different proxy settings for each connection directly through the GUI. Heath

There's no such thing as a "default" user in Windows 2000 - by default it will remember the last person you logged in as. Heath

Ok then - if you leave the "ComputerName" out of SysPrep.inf it will stop and prompt you for a new name as the image is applied to each different machine.
This is already a feature of SysPrep - have you tried it and had a problem...? Heath
