Overflowing calls with SCN

Overflowing calls with SCN

Overflowing calls with SCN

As hunt group extensionss are not learnt over an IPO network using SCN, what is the easiest way to overflow a call from hunt group A at site 1 to group B at site 2
Do you need to configure a user that forwards to the group number at site B and add this to its own group and use this group as the overflow group. Any easier way???

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

That is the only solution I have found so far, you can of course have more than 1 ext in the over flow group or ad the overflow exts to the main group (hunt & rotory only)

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

Thats the way we have been doing it, There should be a better way. I also rekon Hunt groups should be passed via Small Comm Networking, 1.2 worked OK, but changed in 1.3 :(

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

Carrying on this conversation...

Site B 403 has sevral IP phones which are ext's on Site A 403 for CCC reporting which runs at site A.
Easiest way to have local call from Site B location ring on the IP ext...Bring call into group which has user fwded to IP ext numbers???

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

no, creat a short code to route the calls to the exts on site a (scn will still take preference)

number .
line <voip> line
Feature dial

Now mearly enter the site a ext number as the destination in a site b incomming call route

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

I don't know if it is easier, but I sometimes use VM Pro to overflow calls between site A and B.

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

Yeah, that would work fine,I should have said bring the call into the group .

If a local grp has the users with exts 3NN , the ip ext's off the other site, and I have the short code 3nn dialing on IP trunk would that work?

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

I do not think you would be able to add the 3NN exts into a group as these ext's would not exist on site

RE: Overflowing calls with SCN

Can add users that fwd to that ext
