1394 connection

(OP)
Hi,

I have a typical Ethernet setup between 4 computers using a router. That works fine.

Now, 2 of the computers pass a lot of data back and forth as files. So, I thought, since they both have Firewire in place, that I would connected them via firewire. I have done so.

Note that both computers now have 2 connections each. One firewire and one to the router.

Problem: the 1394 is never used! If I look at the networking tab of Task Manager, there is traffic over the Ethernet, not the Firewire.

Thoughts? How can I utilize that connection?

Jenny
