Aura v6.3 CDOM logins won't work after cert expiration

If you are on specific 6.3.x releases, there was a bug that caused cdom to stop allowing logins. Is it possible this is it?

I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it because the logins failed the day after the cert expired. I'm not sure if the x.509 cert would have this effect, but perhaps other things expired that would screw up logins at the same time that I wasn't aware of.
