Dial the extension number of the phone you want to remove Line 06 from

The line is now removed from the extension, and you may reprogram the button as you wish

Urgent! urgent!
I don't know what happened? Now all the other phones 34D or 18D etc all the extension buttons doesn't work.
Please help. Thanks

RE: How to get into system programming

You can only program system parameters (including assigning and unassigning lines to extensions) from the System Programming extensions, which are 10 and 11.

You need to UNassign Line 06 from the telephone (through System Programming at Ext. 10 or 11) before you can program the button to be something else (at the actual phone that you removed Line 06 from)

If you all of a sudden lost all your programming, hopefully you have a backup/restore installed in the system, and it was configured for automatic backup. You can do a restore from that card.

To do a restore:
Find Ext. 10
Press Feature 00, Left Intercom Twice (screen shows System Programming)
Dial #125 (screen shows System Settings Restore on the top line)

The bottom line will show "1 MAN.MMDDYY" - make note of the date shown
Press 2
The bottom line will show "2 AUTO.MMDDYY" - make note of this date as well

Whichever is the most recent backup date - 1 MAN or 2 AUTO, press 1 or 2

Go look at the picture that Dexman posted - find the "Enter" button for the telephone type that you are programming from, and press it.
For an 18 button set, it is the 4th column, 3rd button down.
For a 34 button set, it is the 5th column, 3rd button down.

The phone will reboot and come back on in about 10 seconds. The programming that was saved on the card will be restored to the system, you will only need to set the date and time.

The problem may be due to what I did earlier
System Programming and dial #104-04 . It wipes off all ext button on all phones.

It doesn't work with:
Feature 00
press button to set
left intercom & key in ext #
Feature 00
The minute I press left intercom button there is a beep with error message.

Please help me to program the extension buttons back.

Thank you so much for your help.
I was able to restore all the extension buttons on extension 11.
There is no auto but manual which works.
Now I need your help (which causes this problem):
How do I set the button which was formerly a tel line and it is No Ring - L06 now to be use as an extension button?

RE: How to get into system programming

TTT listed the first set of steps to remove L06 from the extension:

At Ext. 10 or 11:
Feature00 (Enter programming)
Left Intercom Twice (Enter System Programming)
#301 (Line Assignment)
Dial the extension number of the phone you want to remove Line 06 from
06 (Line 06)
2 (Not Assigned)
Feature00 (Exit Programming)

The line is now removed from the extension, and you may reprogram the button as you wish.

After the line has been removed from the button, and if you are at the extension in question try this:

Feature00 (Enter programming mode)
Press the button to be programmed.
Press the left Intercom button.
Enter the extension to be assigned to the button.
Feature00 (Exit programming mode)

I love2 "FEATURE 00"

This "Dial the extension number of the phone you want to remove Line 06 from 06 (Line 06)"
I typed 06, or 6, it made a loud noise, didn't do a thing, stayed at "Line Assignment Extension:"
What do I enter here?
This button is blank now, no Line 06, only shows date and time, no sound.
I then try Feature00 (Enter programming mode)
Press the button to be programmed.
Press the left Intercom button. A beep sound with the error message
If i pressed the blank button it shows "No Ring - L06" What should I do?
Please help. Thank you.

RE: How to get into system programming

Dude - what is the extension number of the phone that has Line 06 assigned to it, that you want to make blank so that you can reprogram the button to something else?????????

THAT is the extension number that you dial when you get to the step
"Dial the extension number of the phone you want to remove Line 06 from"

So lets pretend that it is Extension 15 that has the Line 06 button stuck on it.

Go over to Ext. 10 and press the buttons in this order:
Feature, 0, 0, Left Intercom, Left Intercom, #, 3, 0, 1, 1, 5, 0, 6, 2, Feature, 0, 0

Now go back over to Extension 15 and press Feature, 0, 0, and then press the button that Line 06 was previously programmed on.
Does the display say "Blank"? If so, what do you now want to program this blank button to do??

RE: How to get into system programming

(OP)
There is NO extension number on the button that has Line 06 assigned to it.
This button was formerly an active tel line 06.
This button now doesn't has a ringing tone as the tel line has been disconnected.
I would like to use this button for an extension that I can dial to.
I tried to use the program to program an extension but it didn't work. Need help on this
The button display date and time, not "Blank". How to program this blank button ?? Nothing seems to work.
That is changing a formerly active tel line button to a blank
then can be use as an extension on only one phone ext 11, not the whole system.

RE: How to get into system programming

We are talking past each other.

A button that was assigned as a line key can ONLY be changed through System Programming accessed from Extension 10.
You need to UNASSIGN the line from the extension to make the button blank, THEN you can reprogram the button to be whatever you want.

I think you finally stated that the phone with the button that you want to blank out and reprogram is ext 11?

If so, go find Ext. 10. This is the phone that you will use to do the programming FOR ext 11.
Press Feature 00, Left Intercom Button twice, #301-11-06-2, Feature 00
Now go back over to ext. 11 and check to see if the button still shows Line 06, or if it is blank.
