Excel Help - Worksheets by UserID

Excel Help - Worksheets by UserID

Excel Help - Worksheets by UserID

(OP)
Hi
Hoping someone can assist.

When a user opens the workbook, user's access is controlled by:
1. Worksheets as stated on the Access worksheet (Column B)
2. Username = UNameWindows

Access worksheet will be maintained to either remove or end-date a user.
New users will be added and granted access to respective worksheet/s.

Thanks,
arv

RE: Excel Help - Worksheets by UserID

Hi,

I think you're in the wrong forum. This forum is strictly for Excel native spreadsheet functionality, without VBA code.

I think you want forum707: VBA Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft), in order to control your users' access to the worksheets in the workbook.

So when user Jane Smith opens the workbook, she only sees sheet 1234, but if I opened your workbook, I'd see NONE of the sheets, except maybe a sheet that would display an appropriate message.

This is not a trivial task.

Please repost in forum707: VBA Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft).

Hi Skip
Thanks, I have posted in the above link.
The worksheets will contain pivot tables.
I should mention that it should also allow the user to click on the pivot table to bring up the data.
Not the full dataset but only through the pivot table in the respective worksheet that the user is only allowed to see.

Correct to your above statement.

Thanks,
arv
