Adding 2050 soft phone to cs1000

Adding 2050 soft phone to cs1000

(OP)
So I'm trying to add a 2050 soft phone to the cs1000. I installed the software, configured the s1 server, now it's saying "connect SVC", Node, and TN.

I'm thinking it's supposed to setup with a virtual TN, so I found an unused TN (mostly 1120's and 1140's on the other ones). It forced me to choose a type, which I'm thinking PC stands for Personal Computer. I don't have a clue what NUID, NHTN, Kem, or zone means. I was hoping to make this an ACD set that can be used for calls for people working from home, but I'm running into trouble setting one up. I can't seem to find the installer guide on Avaya's website either, it just sits there.

RE: Adding 2050 soft phone to cs1000

depends on the ACD setup, so press the in calls key, or if you need an Agent ID then press in calls key, Agent ID (usually 4 digits)

Hi Bignose, I'm having trouble finding the in calls key? Is that the ACD number in key 00?

RE: Adding 2050 soft phone to cs1000

yes you program

key 0 acd <acd grp> <acid>

press key 0 that is bottom of the 3 buttons on the right of the screen

Ok, good, I believe I understand that format. I think biggest problem that I'm having right now is trying to locate the position ID, that number (I'm assuming) is generated by the system, but how? I not quite under how a position ID works, and where to locate it to plug it into the ACD 00 line. Is it a number you just pick randomly on your own?

so for instance, I'm looking at another ACD, which is setup like this:

KEY 00 ACD 3700 0 7113770
| ^______________> POSITION ID, but where is this found?
^____________________________> what is this number? Right now it's zero,on some it says 3, some it says 8, etc.
AGN
^_______________ "agn" just shows up when printing the TN.

RE: Adding 2050 soft phone to cs1000

random but often based on the the DN so say I was not using 1xxx in the PABX I might do DN 3770 POS ID 1770 for example
